Tips To Maximise Your Soundcloud Exposure

We all know that Soundcloud has become an important medium for audio streaming and sharing however so you should make sure that you’re doing everything you can to maximise your exposure on the platform.
Music PR firm Green Light recently gave some tips to help with this:

Band Description: Have a good description and include contact information so you can be contacted by media if required.

Profile Photo: use a good photo which clearly communicates your image and ‘brand’.

Social & Website Links: You should also put these links into your song and playlist descriptions too.

Include Your band Name In The Song Title.

Tags:  Include as many as possible.  These could include location, genre, mood, producer, studio used.  Use quotation marks around phrases such as “Kanye West” otherwise each word is tagged and treated separately.

Use Correct Single /Album Cover Art For Official Releases.
