Don’t Neglect Your Music

60 Second Music Marketing

There’s a great blog post by Eric Eckhart at CD Baby which echos what I’ve said before on 60SMM:

“the reason many of us have not had the breakthrough we desire is our songs haven’t been great enough. Not because we didn’t have the right social media approach.”;

Yes marketing is vitally important but you’re only marketing the music that you create in the first place.

Never neglect your writing. It's the most important marketing tool you have. Never neglect your writing. It’s the most important marketing tool you have.

If your music isn’t up to scratch, then you’re always going to have one hand tied behind your back however you try and market it.

This weekend, think about how you can improve your music and your songs!

Got any questions about this post or how you can better market yourself?
